SCREENED TOPSOIL – Natural screened topsoil without added nutrients is used mainly for backfilling, seeding or for laying sod.
SANDFILL – Fill dirt is usually subsoil (soil from beneath the topsoil). It is used to fill in a depression or hole in the ground or otherwise change the grade or elevation of property.
RECYCLED CRUSHED ASPHALT – An excellent choice for laneways and parking lots. It is made of crushed asphalt 3/4″ down to fines. When spread it compacts very well and provides a very durable surface. RAP has a clean, high quality look that is similar to asphalt. This makes it a very cost effective alternative to a traditional asphalt driveway. Another benefit is that it can be regraded as needed, not replaced.
DUST & CHIPS -A finely crushed gravel comparable to limestone screenings. It is used underneath interlocking brick, and has better drainage than the limestone screenings. Can also be used for backfilling.
‘A’ GRAVEL – A crushed gravel with fines 1″ and smaller. Good for backfilling, under interlocking brick, and as a base material for retaining walls.
MASON SAND – A fine, washed sand that is great to add to concrete mixtures but it can also be used underneath pool liners or in a child’s sand box.
3/4″ CLEAR CRUSHED LIMESTONE – This limestone gravel is crushed to 3/4″ and is free of sand. It is used as a hard packing base material under asphalt driveways and concrete pads.
POTATO STONE (2″ – 4″ ROUND STONE) – Combination of granite and limestone. Economic stone for use around pools or used as a filler. Excellent rock garden features.
